Mariah Hale has been working in design and textiles for 25 years.  Her Costume Designs have been seen in various Off- Broadway, Regional Theatre, and University program venues. Most recently, she designed COMEDY OF TENORS at The Papermill Playhouse. She designs frequently at The Folger Theatre in Washington DC, most recently SENSE AND SENSIBILITY, RICHARD III (DC Metro Arts Design winner) and TWELFTH NIGHT (Helen Hayes Award Nomination.)  She has designed costumes for Holiday windows at Marshal Fields in Chicago and Macy’s in San Francisco, as well as working in development for both Charisma Brands/ Marie Osmond Dolls and Michael Allen Designs.   

As an Associate Designer with William Ivey Long for over 20 years, she has collaborated on several Broadway, Touring, and International productions such as A BRONX TALE, CHICAGO, SMOKEY JOES CAFÉ, GUYS AND DOLLS, CRAZY FOR YOU, Andrew Lloyd Weber’s MUSIC OF THE NIGHT, and Disney’s KING DAVID.    

She has been the Associate Designer and supervisor of costume operations at THE LOST COLONY for 15 seasons;  America’s longest running Outdoor Drama, in Manteo, NC.  Participating in the mounting of costumes for the installation of “Mysteries of The Lost Colony and A New World…” at the NC Museum of History.

Her set decorations and soft good props pieces have been seen in such Broadway productions as:  THE PIRATE QUEEN, BILLY ELLIOT, WHITE CHRISTMAS, THE WEDDING SINGER, CURTAINS, GYPSY  and WICKED.  She has worked with costume shops and producers such as Roundabout Theatre Co., NY, Barbara Matera, LTD., Dallas Theater Center and Fort Worth/ Dallas Ballet.

Also a couture Bridal designer with her business partner Donald Sanders, she has delivered over 200 couture gowns for Brides and formals over the last 10 years.
